Cirillo's Academy is a family-run cooking space that opened in Etobicoke in 2009 and moved downtown to The Esplanade, steps from St. Lawrence Market, a decade later. The public calendar is built for people who want to cook rather than watch: pasta and pizza nights where you roll, shape and sauce your own dinner before sitting down to eat it in the dining room, with most classes around $95 per person. Cooking in Twos runs at $290 per pair, the monthly Night of Wine is a hybrid class and tasting at $175, and the room — with a long communal table — takes corporate team building, birthdays and private groups.
