Lady York Foods

Lady York Foods has been on Dufferin north of Lawrence for more than sixty years, and it is less a grocery store than the pantry of the neighbourhood: a full deli and cheese counter, a butcher, produce out front, and aisles of imported Italian tomatoes, pasta, olive oil and coffee. It is where local cooks go when a recipe calls for a specific brand of San Marzano or a cut the supermarket does not carry, and the prepared-food counter handles dinner on the way home. Open seven days, with shorter hours on the weekend.
