Bar Vendetta took over the former Black Hoof room on Dundas Street West and turned it into a neighbourhood wine bar with real ambition. The kitchen cooks Italian-leaning comfort food — the hand-cut pasta and the pizza are the regulars' orders — while the bar pours low-intervention wines, vermouth and cocktails. Michelin Guide recommended, open seven nights until late, with a handful of seats kept for walk-ins.
