IL FORNO took over the East Main Street room that used to be the Honest Lawyer and turned it into downtown Welland's Italian restobar, with a dining room, a lounge and a menu that runs from pizza and pasta to grilled plates and cocktails. It opens at eleven every day and stays open until ten on weeknights, eleven on Fridays and Saturdays, which makes it as useful for a weekday lunch as for a Saturday night. The kitchen is Italian-leaning rather than strictly traditional — Italian fusion is how the house describes it — and the bar is a serious part of the offer.
